§ Northeast Ohio saw a brutal heat wave this week with temperatures in the upper 90s each day. Our fig plant must have enjoyed it—its branches are suddenly covered in tiny budding fruits. The one breba fig I found at the end of May still isn’t ripe though.

Elsewhere, our passionflower vine is blooming and our bush bean plants are full of fully-grown green beans.

I picked the first couple of garlic bulbs of the season. It turns out I am a bit too early but, well, I was out of garlic and needed some for dinner.

§ I stumbled across an old Last.fm profile I last used when I was thirteen. Who knew 35 scrobbles could exude so much embarrassment?

It prompted me to download all of my 2017–2026 listening history from Spotify and Apple Music and feed it into an open source scrobbler. Apparently over that nearly nine year period I listened to more than 1,100 hours of music from 1,700 different artists.

Even though my list of most played albums is very skewed from a big hyperpop phase I had around 2020–2023 it is interesting to see everything compiled together in one place. I’d like to see what other tools I can find to dig into all of this data in more detail.
